A world of curiosities and surprises, where, every day, creatures big and small bite off more than they can chew.
(pea-rexes growling) Join us as we follow the adventures of Ginger, a young tricarrotops, and her unlikely little friends, three baby pea-rexes, Wasabi, Split, and Minty, as they discover the many wonders that exist in this vast valley!
- Woohoo!
This is Ginger and the "Vegesaurs"!
(gentle music) (gentle music) - Who's up for a race?
I mean, first in the water hole wins!
- [Narrator] Young vegesaurs race regularly.
It keeps them fit and alert to the many dangers of the valley.
(playful music) - Okay, the rules are, (playful music) there are no rules.
Are you ready?
On the count of three.
One, two.
Oh, false start.
Try again.
(playful music) One, two, two and a half.
Haha, gotcha.
Not until I've said three.
(playful music) I guess I did say three.
(playful music) Uh oh, roadblock.
(dramatic music) (playful music) Can't go under, but I can go over.
- [Narrator] This tricarrotops has decided to take the high road.
(dramatic music) (Ginger breathing hard) - Whoa, that's so cool.
(Ginger breathing hard) Aha!
Catch me if you can!
(dramatic music) - [Narrator] Some vegesaurs can get a sharp pain in the tummy if they eat or drink too much before running.
(playful music) Chilli beans, one of the fastest creatures for their size, and perhaps a solution to Wasabi's tummy trouble.
(playful music) - Oh.
(playful music) (playful music continues) - [Narrator] The baby pearexes have cleverly turned fast food into a fast ride.
Bravo!
(playful music) - Minty, Wasabi, Split?
(playful music) (Ginger panting) (playful music) Hey, no fair!
That's against the rules.
Wait a minute, there are no rules.
Aha!
(playful music) See you in the water hole!
(dramatic music) - [Narrator] With no ride, they'll have to run their own race.
(playful music) (flying vegesaur squawking) (Split gasping) But lifts are never too far away.
(Split giggling) (playful music) - Wee!
(dramatic music) (dramatic music continues) - Come on you big round thing, go!
(dramatic music) (dramatic music continues) Whoa!
(water splashing) (Ginger gasping) (Ginger laughing) It's a draw.
What, you don't think so?
(dramatic music) (water splashing) (Ginger laughing) (dramatic music) Woo hoo!
I guess nobody won the race, but we definitely won the day.
(dramatic music) (gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) (Pea-Rex grunting) (curious music) - [Narrator] A small predator with mighty zeal, Pea-Rexes make up for their tiny size by hunting in large pods.
The pod is usually led by the nurturing and fiercely protective Mama Pea.
You wouldn't want to get on her bad side, (Mama Pea snarls) let me tell you.
(pod creaks and pops) (baby Pea-Rex grunts) Being the incredibly loyal creatures that they are, once a Pea-Rex finds their pod, they stick to it.
(baby Pea-Rexes groan) (whimsical music) - Hello!
(all chittering) - Mwah!
- [Narrator] Pea-Rexes are born hunters.
Their thin skin allows for ultra speed, flexibility and agility, (Minty grunting) and they can detect the tiniest of vibrations.
(Wasabi sniffing) Despite being no larger than a tennis ball, Pea-Rexes can eat up to four times their weight- (Wasabi grunting) (all cheering) And they have the appetite to match.
(bright music) - [Narrator] It's the late Crunchiest period, when the world was dominated by the juiciest and freshest creatures ever to rule the planet, the mighty "Vegesaurs"!
(gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - I spy with my little eye, something green.
(playful music) - Uh, me, me, me?
- Nope, nice try.
That's definitely not the green I was thinking of.
Hide!
- [Narrator] When travelling between bodies of water, cucumberdiles must move quickly to prevent drying out.
(Ginger gasping) (dramatic music) - Whew!
Okay, where were we?
I spy with my little eye, something, ah!
Stay back.
- [Narrator] Adult cucumberdiles are one of the valley's apex predators.
(pea-rexes growling) The toothless baby cuke, however, is much less of a threat.
- Oh, you won't fight.
I think your family went that way.
(playful music) - [Narrator] Out of the water, cucumberdiles' eyes dry out, causing their vision to go blurry.
- We'll help you get to the lake.
Here, hop on.
(baby cuke's eyes blinking) (playful music) - [Narrator] This baby cuke is teething.
Sucking helps soothe its gums.
- Ah, (giggling) that's not what I meant, but okay.
(playful music) (pea-rexes giggling) I can't feel my toes anymore.
Off you go.
(playful music) (baby cuke's eyes blinking) (dramatic music) Aw, I think it likes you, Wasabi.
(playful music) (pea-rexes gasping) Oh, no.
(playful music) (Wasabi giggling) (playful music) Open.
Open.
(Wasabi grunting) We need to find something else for it to suck on.
(pea-rex gasping) (playful music) (playful music continues) (pea-rexes tumbling) Now!
(playful music) Well done.
(playful music) There's your herd over there.
(dramatic music) Stop!
That's not one of you.
- [Narrator] The longer the cucumberdiles are out of the water, the blurrier their eyesight becomes.
- Look out!
- [Narrator] The territorial potato dogs are serious about personal space.
- Oopsie!
Sorry about that.
It thinks you're a dummy.
(potatodon grunting) (giggling) Not that kind of dummy.
(dramatic music) Go long!
(dramatic music) Gotcha.
Minty, I think I'm gonna need another flower.
(pea-rexes giggling) (playful music) Off you go.
(playful music) (Ginger gasping) (playful music) - Turn around, turn around.
(playful music) (Wasabi whistling) (Baby cuke's eyes blinking) (dramatic music) Aw, I guess they aren't all that scary.
(dramatic music) I take that back.
Let's go.
(playful music) (gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - Let's sing a song together.
(laughs) (gentle music) - Oh!
- Yay.
- [Ginger] Whoa.
