i have just shy of 2 900 skydives and so after this i'll be just at 3 000 skydives everyone i've talked to that's like not a skydiver it finds it incredibly hard to believe that you can do 100 skydives in a day but it's also like you can you can sort of accomplish whatever goal that you really want to as long as you sort of take the appropriate steps to to build up to that goal and go do it i would say probably about a year ago sort of popped into my mind of oh like can i go do a bunch of jumps in a day and then as i thought about it more i realized that i have the the resources around me and the people around me to make something like this happen you get to the airport in the morning and of course you're a little nervous about to go on your first skydive and then sort of you get the gear on now it's getting a little bit more real and then you ride up in the plane and then it's like the nerves are building but then you also think about like sort of like your training you're sort of playing that skydive in your head [Music] put your goggles on put your helmet on and then door opens up and take that deep breath and just go do that skydive you've done in your head a dozen times already you breathe for a second and then on to the next one of course skydiving has has risk involved and like obviously it's safer to not skydive than to go skydive but um i think that the the risk in my mind has been sort of mitigated through the the equipment and through the training and and of course like there's always the the far out chance that it could end in in something tragic but i would prefer to have fun and experience the thrill of skydiving skydiving has taught me a lot of life skills and experiences that i really wouldn't have experienced otherwise [Music] for the process i have five become skydiving rigs or basically harnesses and containers and each one of those has two parachutes inside of it after i use the parachute i'll land drop it and then pick up a freshly packed one and there should be enough time for those for the packing to be done but if not i have extra or spare parachutes as well in case i need to use those for this i'm raising money for the ellington fire department because they sort of regularly come out for for extra training and when they do respond in the event of an accident or emergency they're they're very well prepared and know how to respond and react and as a way of saying like thank you or sort of raising funds for them from this event we've raised about four thousand dollars so far at the end of the day i think anyone can jump out of a plane but some people definitely require a little more persuasion than others everyone who skydives like has like two reactions really and it's i loved it and i want to do it again or i loved it and i'll never do it again people don't go up and jump and say i regretted skydiving you
